About 40 researchers gave presentations about the research going on in the greenhouses behind the Radix building. Children could paint plants, earning packets of seeds to sow at home later. ‘We are very pleased with the turnout’, says co-organizer Erik Toussant. The Plant Day was an initiative by the European Organization for Plant Sciences (EPSO) and was spread over venues around the Netherlands. In Wageningen particular attention was paid to the centenary of the Plant Breeding chair group.
