Green competition for Duivendaal

The rooms in the former Administration Centre at Duivendaal are fast being turned into student digs.

The building will house 179 student rooms. Forty students are helping build their new accommodation. But non-residents can do their bit too by thinking up ways to make the building more sustainable. There are no restrictions, as long as the idea can be implemented for five thousand euros and is not too radical. You can only add things to the building. So no efficient cisterns but you can put solar panels on the roof. But you will need to come up with something more imaginative than that to win. The competition (see www.projectduivendaal.nl) is open to students of Wageningen University, VHL and Stoas.
