First-years to make study promises

School’s over if they perform below par.


First-year students of Inholland University of Applied Sciences have been presented with an ‘agreement’ to sign, in which they promise to attend lectures, participate in projects and study diligently.

In return, Inholland promises to provide at least twenty contact hours per week and to release exam results within three weeks.
Students who sign the agreement but fail to live up to their promises will have to leave school.
Should Wageningen University follow suit? /AS
