European Commissioner to visit Campus

The European Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries is visiting the campus on the 4th of November. Karmenu Vella, among other things, will discuss with two students of Environmental Science and two students of Marine Resource Management.

For those that want to hear the european commissioner speak and want to attend the discussion – between 11.00 and 12.10 o’clock in Orion – can sign up by email.

After the meeting in Orion Vella, who is visiting Wageningen for the first time, will visit the NIOO. Then Bram de Vos, director of the Environmental Sciences Group, will show the European commissioner the World Soil Museum and Martin Scholten, director of the Animal Science group and IMARES, will show Vella the aquaculture facilities of the Wageningen UR. At the Soil Museum three environmental scientists will present their work to the commissioner; at the aquaculture facilities the Fishery scientists will explain their research projects.
