Erasmus students

As a last-minute solution, empty rooms belonging to SSHW were found for 25 Erasmus students who will be studying in Wageningen as of 1 February. Normally foreign students stay in furnished rooms reserved for them by the university. But these rooms were all taken, so a different solution had to be found. According to Dr Stella Efdé, who is responsible for housing of foreign students, it is difficult to predict how many rooms the university has to reserve. ‘We know how many students are coming, but to determine the number of available rooms we are dependent on the number who decide to move. We hope to improve this situation in the future.’ Sixty additional Erasmus students are expected to arrive in March. SSHW has already notified the university that it has no more rooms available. / JH
