Climate TV

A three-hour TV special on climate change this Sunday 6 February marks the launch of the government Bsik programme Climate for Space, of which Wageningen UR is the author. The programme, Do you care? The National Climate Survey is intended to raise awareness on the potential effects of climate change. The programme will be broadcast from eight thirty to eleven on Sunday evening and is thus prime time viewing. It presents a glimpse of a possible future, with grape harvesting for wine production in the Netherlands, cars using solar energy and inhabitants of the low-lying Betuwe area forced to move to higher land. A big international congress, which also forms part of the Bsik programme, will take place on 10 and 11 February. / MW
