CASTLE VISIT/ It was a beautiful day for a cycle ride through the woods to the castle in Doorwerth, a village near Arnhem. On Saturday 30 September, eleven students joined the excursion to the castle, which was probably built in the thirteenth century. The group had a guided tour round the museum, during which they had to climb a very narrow staircase, and got to look at the beautiful rooms with old paintings. The group also visited the castle vegetable garden, which has been restored to its original form and has a very old medlar fruit tree. The excursion was organised by Studium Generale.
