For the new television programme Het instituut (The institute), NTR and BNN are looking for people that are crazy – or brave – enough to be locked up for a week. During this period all the ‘test subjects’ will wear the same clothes, eat the same and sleep in identical circumstances. Meanwhile, they will participate in all sorts of sociological and psychological experiments. Free food and accommodation for students that are bored. Although it is smart not to watch the film Das experiment beforehand.

One of the perpetrators for the television programme is cabaret performer Rub Urgert. He has a scientific background and obtained his doctorate in 1997 at Wageningen University on research on cholesterol increasing substances in coffee. Urgert will form a team with Joep van Deudekom and Sophie Hilbrand, The programme will be broadcasted in autumn on channel Nederland 1.

The former Frisokazerne is located besides the Mauritskazerne, where students were housed until the end of 2015.

Their video below shows their call for participants (video is in Dutch).
