The university, which owned the mansion on the edge of central Wageningen, does not wish to comment at this point other than to say it is satisfied with the result. Apparently the buyer is a private individual from Wageningen. The sale took the form of bids via a solicitor as this was expected to work best given current market conditions. The process came to an end this week. The listed building was home to the Wageningen student union for decades.
