UPDATE Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality Carola Schouten wants to move toward a circular agriculture. What does this paradigm shift mean for daily practice, and what would its consequences be for farmers, citizens and science? Attend the Resource lunch discussion on 17 September and listen to the WUR scientists who provided Schouten with advice.
Elaborating Minister Schouten’s vision on agriculture (article in Dutch) into concrete measures will have considerable consequences. The memorandum mentions the necessity for ‘a willingness to undergo radical changes’, both among companies and consumers.
During the Resource lunch discussion, we will try to itemise the primary obstacles as well as the most promising developments to reach a circular agriculture. And in all this, the focus will be on the part that WUR could play.
