University gets international accreditation

text: Gaby van Caulil 17:20u 28 June 2012 - Wageningen University is the first university in the Netherlands to get an international accreditation. This will make it easier for the university to attract good students from overseas.

NVAO chairman Karl Dittrich announced this yesterday during a farewell symposium held for Wageningen education director Pim Brascamp in Cinemec in Ede. Rector magnificus Martin Kropff was visibly pleased. 'This is very good news indeed. I am very proud of it.'

This recognition is viewed as a stamp of quality by international students. It gives the assurance that not only is English the language of communication in the Master's classes in the Wageningen University, but also that admission and facilities are well organized.

This international accreditation is a new development. It is given by the Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organization (NVAO), known for its education visitations. Other universities too, such as Maastricht and Groningen, are working towards this international accreditation.

is no worth nothing, except when all foreign students coming in september will find housing accommodation…which was not the case the last years, and wur didn’t give a f*ck
