    20 June 2013 Transnational Health Care: A Cross-Border Symposium

At a moment in which the provision and regulation of health care within national boundaries is profoundly shifting, the growing numbers of people going abroad in pursuit of health care mean that the social, political and economic significance and impacts of these flows at a range of levels cannot be ignored. • Elvis in the Bush: Festivals, Growth…
18 June 2013 Elvis in the Bush: Festivals, Growth and Identity in Regional Australia

At a time when agricultural decline in much of Australia has been compounded by drought, and many small towns are losing population, what impact can festivals have on reviving rural areas’ economies, social interaction and identity? This lectured is organised by the Cultural Geography Group and supported by WASS.
